A free overnight emergency accommodation service for co-ed youth aged 16-24yrs. A team of Outreach Workers are available to serve co-ed youth aged 16-24yrs 12 hours per day, 365 days per year. A 24-hour transitional residential program for young men ages 18-24. Efficient access to a life off the streets; 3 phases designed to foster eventual independent living and to promote the health of the whole person – encompassing physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.
  • Tolerant towards youth under the influence of drugs and alcohol,
  • Intake procedure is minimal (requiring only a name and date of birth)
  • Space for up to 70 youth
  • Secure overnight storage of client belongings.
  • Separate sleeping areas for males and females.
  • Food services including breakfast, bag lunches, and evening snacks.
  • Showers, emergency clothing, and basic hygiene products.
  • Private room for crisis/suicide intervention and informal counseling.
  • Common area for eating, games, etc.
  • Laundry and shower appointments;
  • Outreach events and drop in activities;
  • Appointment transportation and advocacy;
 We offer assistance with referrals or obtaining:

  • I.D.
  • Food;
  • Clothing;
  • Transportation;
  • Counseling/Addictions Treatment;
  • Mental and Physical health care;
  • Crisis/suicide intervention;
  • Employment;
  • Housing;
  • Legal assistance;
  • Pregnancy and parenting resources;
  • Spiritual guidance;
  • Mentorship, Fellowship/community;
  • Applications to SHIFT and other available programs;
  • Aftercare for SHIFT ‘grads’ and housed clients.
  • Other services as needed/requested.


Services by appointment or as staff availability permits.

  • 100% free of charge – respect, participation, and genuine effort are the only requirements.
  • Alcohol, drug, and smoke-free.
  • Safe, with 24 hour staff availability and supervision (including non-medical Detox).
  • 12 individual bedrooms [bed and dresser for belonging storage].
  • Shared use of kitchen, laundry, bathroom/shower, and recreation facilities.
  • Three hot meals each weekday [brunch and supper served on weekends, other food and snacks are available to SHIFT residents as needed during daytime hours.]


Mandatory daily programming, includes all listed outreach services in addition to daily physical activity and exercise; Individual Case Management/Mentoring; Goal Setting; Internal [Hope Mission] and external program and resource information and referrals; Education and skill development opportunities; Referral, support, and advocacy facilitating access to outside services including appointment transportation. Courses, Modules [individualized learning], and Health Workshops; Journal Groups and Bible studies; Guest speakers; Volunteer and “work project” service opportunities; Church services; Recreation and cultural activities; Special Events; Visitation/Day Passes and Limited telephone and internet access.
